the contract

The Contract

"You don't seem like the type to trap girls with contracts." I rest my head on his shoulder. He kisses the top of my head. I lay there, thinking about tonight. The silence, the contract, the nickname, the possessions I now have. My mind wants me to care, to storm out of here, ripping up the contract on my way out. But I don't. As long as I have Austin, nothing else seems to matter. I have no idea what I signed, but what I do know is that whatever it is will change my life.

If You Need Me, Call Me

I look up at him and kiss him without fear or expectations of anything but pure pleasure and enjoyment. "You sure you don't expect anything?" "I'm sure. If you're comfortable, then so am I." He pulls me into him, kissing my head. I fall asleep knowing that I'm truly safe for the first time in a long time.

The Hotel Mixup

"I don't know, but if you think it's wrong, don't do it." "Okay." Just as that word leaves my mouth, Rowan pulls me into him, kissing me like he's been waiting for this exact scenario: for us to be alone and forced to spend time with each other. "I think I deserve a thank you now." "Yeah, you do. Thank you." I look down, trying not to meet their eyes. His hand rubs my jaw, lifting my face and forcing me to. "That sounds better." We fall asleep tangled in each other's arms, and suddenly, I don't know what I was so scared of.

future life

The Apartment We'll Have

You walk into your new apartment after a long day at work, kicking off your shoes and setting your bag down on the kitchen counter. You go into your room to see him on your bed. He looks up at you from his phone, "Hi, how was your day?" you smile, in disbelief that this is your life, even after 2 years.
